Free Seamless Texture Checker

Drop in a texture to see it tiled, then shift it to bring the edges into the middle — the fastest way to tell whether a texture is truly seamless.

100% in your browser — your image is never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Add a texture

Drop in any image (PNG, JPG, or WebP). It's read locally — nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

    Tile it

View it repeated from 2×2 up to 5×5 to spot visible seams where copies meet, or features that obviously repeat.

  3. 3

    Shift to reveal seams

Turn on the offset to bring the texture's four edges into the middle of the view — a non-seamless texture shows a clear line there.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a texture is seamless?

Tile it and look for visible seams where the copies meet, plus standout features that repeat on a grid. Use “Shift to reveal seams” to move the edges to the center, where a non-seamless texture shows an obvious line or mismatch.

Does this upload my image?

No. It's free with no sign-up and runs entirely in your browser — your image never leaves your device.

What does “Shift to reveal seams” do?

It offsets the tiling by half a tile so the texture's four outer edges meet in the middle of the preview. That's the classic trick for spotting seams that are otherwise hidden at the edges.

How do I make a texture seamless?

See the guide on making seamless textures, or generate one that's seamless from the start in the Mixos editor — its AI materials and triplanar projection tile cleanly without manual seam fixing.

Texture seamlessly, from the start.

Mixos generates seamless PBR materials from a prompt and tiles any material on your mesh with triplanar projection — no manual seam fixing. Free to author.
