    Colours become stacked 3D layers

    The image is reduced to a handful of flat colours, each colour's regions are traced into real curves, and each one is extruded into its own layer — stepped along Z so the artwork reads as physical relief rather than a decal.

    Tune the depth and export

    Set the colour count, extrusion depth, layer spacing and bevel, orbit the result, then export a GLB. Open it in Studio to keep the curves editable.

Frequently asked questions

Is my artwork uploaded?

Not to trace it. Quantising, tracing and extruding all run on your own device, so the image you drop in never leaves the browser. Two things do reach our servers, and only if you ask for them: generating a mark from a text prompt runs an AI image model, and saving a project to the cloud stores it on your account.

What happens to the colours in my logo?

Each flat colour becomes its own 3D layer. The image is quantised to a handful of colours, every region of a colour is traced into bezier curves, and each colour is extruded and stepped forward along Z — so a red disc on a blue square comes out as a solid blue plate with a red disc standing proud of it.

What file types can I use?

PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG. Flat artwork — logos, icons, badges, wordmarks, stickers — is what this is for. A photograph has no flat colours to find, so it traces into a mess of overlapping blobs.

Why did my background disappear?

The colour that owns the border is treated as background and dropped, so a logo on a white plate comes in without the plate. Turn off "Drop background" to extrude it as an ordinary layer, or turn on "Keep a backing plate" to keep it as the deepest layer behind the mark.

What can I do with the GLB?

Anything that reads glTF — Blender, Unreal, Unity, Godot, three.js, a website, a 3D print pipeline. Each layer arrives as its own mesh with its own colour, so you can restyle them individually.

Can I keep editing the curves afterwards?

Not from this page — it builds a finished mesh. Open the same trace in Mixos Studio and it arrives as live Extrude generators instead: the curves stay editable, and each layer's depth and bevel stay adjustable after the fact.
