Free SVG to STL Converter

Drop in a vector and get a solid your slicer will open. Set how thick it should be and how soft the edges are, turn it around to check it, and download an STL. Free, with no sign-up.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Drop an SVG

Add a .svg file. It is read on your own device and never uploaded — the whole conversion runs in your browser.

  2. 2

    Set the thickness

Drag thickness to give the outline real depth, and rounded edges to put a bevel on every rim. Both are shares of the artwork's longest side, so the result reads the same whatever units the file uses.

  3. 3

    Download the STL

Turn the model to check it, then download. The STL is binary, which is what slicers expect and a fraction of the size of the text version.

The thickness and edge rounding here are the two settings that decide whether a print survives handling — thin parts snap, and a small bevel takes the sharpness off an edge. If your artwork is a PNG or a JPEG rather than a vector, it has to be traced into curves first, which the logo maker does. For a mark whose colours should print as separate raised layers rather than one flat solid, see 3D printed logos.

Frequently asked questions

Is this SVG to STL converter really free?

Yes — free, no sign-up, and no watermark. The conversion runs entirely on your own device, so there is no server cost to recover. That is also why nothing you drop here is uploaded.

What size will the model be?

It exports at the proportions of your artwork rather than at a fixed size in millimetres. Scale it in your slicer, where you can see it against the actual build plate — which is the honest place to choose a size.

Why is my SVG coming out empty?

Almost always live text. An SVG whose logo is still editable type has no outline to extrude, so it converts to nothing. In your design tool, convert the type to outlines (Illustrator: Type \u2192 Create Outlines; Figma: Flatten) and export again. The converter will tell you when it sees this.

Can I convert a PNG or JPEG?

Not here — a raster image has no curves to extrude. It has to be traced into a vector first. The Mixos logo maker does that with AI, and it also separates flat colours so each becomes its own raised layer.

Does it keep my colours?

An STL stores geometry and nothing else — no colour, no materials. If you need colour to travel with the model, download the GLB instead, which this same tool will write.

My artwork was an outline and came out solid. Why?

An extruder can only give thickness to an enclosed area, so an unfilled outline is closed and filled before it is extruded. If you wanted a hollow shape with walls, give the outline a real width in your design tool — expand the stroke into a filled shape — and convert that.

Need layers, not one solid?

This converter gives you a single body, which is what most prints want. If your mark has several flat colours and you want each one raised off the one behind it, the logo maker separates them and extrudes each in turn.
